thin as thoughts
holding fire
at the moment understood
when the swordsman strikes

Nice. Yes, I've run up on the edge. The leading edge. The word staring up at you from the page. Will it hold? Will it bridge the gulf between thought and expression? Not sure if this is what you're describing, but this is what came to mind.

I puzzled a little over "thin as thoughts," but that's probably just my own association of stillness with a degree of heaviness, as I'm used to thinking about it, from experience.

Yes thin as thoughts was an interesting thought to me also,as sharp is thin, in a blade and how thoughts have no material substance yet can have devistating concequences in the material world. Poems are interesting because it is all about t the subjectivity of the reader, writing a poem is not complete until it is read and then it is just the next evalution of the work , very slippery stuff , thanks for reading and comenting
