It is poetry because it is an attempt at mockery
it stands alone with out context
a sapling is still a tree
the confusion lies in the desecration of the intent
what you said is what you meant
of this I am confident
who said why it matters what you call it
it will still say the same thing regardless
only the reader changes
it could be deep poetry if our "Pat "said so Joe
know you know
simple is simple it still is what it is
nothing can change that
the poor horse
is dead sir

there are three things that can be done with a dead horse, bury it, eat it or continue to beat it.
