beatific algae

Post by saw » March 20th, 2016, 9:05 am

this world's design is universal.....
that means most of the people
materialize to be adaptable, are
constructed to fit into the big system's
background structure that discourages revolution,
absorbents, of the dominant paradigm...but
occasionally there is a glitch
in processing, and a reject like me
squirts through the pores, this is why
the world can seem so odd to me,
this is why I can't find a comfortable booth
to eat my lunch in peace at the cantina
and, so it is for some of us
defective, by all the popular methods of human
evaluation, we come to love the black swans
swimming in the reservoirs above the great whites
knowing it's all good, perfectly content
hiding in the seaweed....
there is no loneliness in the entanglement there
it's the marvelous sanctuary of neptune's unique eyesight
the trident hurled at the claustrophobic clouds
the poetry
the music
the oils, the acrylics, the pastels, and of course
the watercolors
the sun, the moon, the changing tides,
the duckling was never ugly to begin with....
he was different
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Romantically filling the suitcase full of art supplies
Paper
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

The poet painter knew as a child . Out the window the wild Arizona hills was all that I wanted ,just to be free, away from the other kids ,free to wonder and explore, always drawing ,taking things apart , the poem is so close to home for me, still to this day, sixty some years later ,my place at the table has bird skulls gel pens and poetry note books .My neighbors think I am a strange old man.I am happy. The poem spoke directly to me .

yeah ghost,.... I am also seen as a tad strange here in the neighborhood, even in my family ...they can't understand my taste in decorating....it's a kind of quirky museum to them....things I find in the street might end up on the wall , but it feels right to me....comfortable....when young folks come in, their eyes light up....and more than once have said, when I get my own place, I want it to look like this...Ha...I guess the message is , do what feels right....there isn't a single white wall in here...no white anywhere...no trim...nothing....white cannot live here....i need color
