kiss my blue blue berry, Baby
i'm a newsboy hookworm with slapstick for eyeglasses,
a skylight handout skintight mind in a bedroll courthouse,
a what-so-what afterimage from the eyelash handbook
with the foresight of a carryall raincoat,
a fireproof Sunday moonbeam throwaway talebearer of the wasteland
fishlike in my underclothes -
sure, i can tell you
my caveman stories
but then you must
call me setback to the 21st century
a snowdrift to the superhighways
my undercurrents suspect
for traveling overland
my lifework a sidewalk chalk written footnote
to an afterlife passkey caretaker
washed away with the first rain
but it's all over, my little buttermilk,
the cargo is loaded
& my notebook
is full

Re: Sailor
Another example of one of those wonderful
instances in which I do not understand
what is happening, but I love it that it's
happening anyway.

Re: Sailor
This is great fun!it makes sense like my life does,(sort of makes sense),just rocks along it own merry way. This kind of poetry is hard to hammer into shape it must be allowed to just unwind and when it works it is like real good moonshine ,sitting at the table the shots just flow along , ah but then when you stand up, you understand . The last part of the poem is when I stood up ,yup the note books are packed .enjoyed ,good shine.
Re: Sailor
anything from the eyelash handbook is ok with me ...

If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
