the woman of the house
is walking around
wearing over her breasts
a deer skull with antlers
she looks out the window
where it is snowing hard
and says to me,
"Do you want to go kayaking?"
the question surprises me
and i laugh without ever
taking my eyes
off those antlers
she laughs too
& sits down
i glance from the antlers
to out the window
where snow continued
to fall

sweatshirts with faces
stare like an animal
in the headlights, and dear
lovers look back and forth
from snow to antlered head
is it really spring ?....the kayak
ain't ready for this shit.....

...as long as the river ain't frozen...... Go for it

I have never done it but a tube run down hill in a kayak might be a hoot , I would love to see a picture of all of the above , as i did see one reading , fine antlers those .
