Help

Post by Brian mclaughlin » April 4th, 2016, 1:02 pm

Serving the whores
our boys off to wars
returning disabled
from far distant shores

That's when they come home
fatigued to the bone
no sign of support
and they feel all alone

Now as if a young whelp
and begging for help
there's no answer delivered
to this loud screeching yelp

Where is our country
who've sent our children to die
then abandon the veterans
can someone please tell me why
When we speak we are afraid our words will not be heard or welcomed. But when we are silent, we are still afraid. So it is better to speak. ~ Audre Lorde

Damaged goods.the poem asks a serious question .Sending them off in the first place is part of a human catastrophe. some who have families get good help from family and neighbors , but the mentaly il in general are treated badly in this country ,mostly by being ignored as long as they are not a danger or cause disturbance. much food for thought!

it's a national disgrace, to tempt young men and women under the banner of patriotism, and make promises that you cannot fulfill....the VA is woefully inadequate in being able to lend the proper assistance for PTSD, as well as prosthetic limbs, and traumatic brain injury...it's all a big lie.....recruiters have gotten very good at perpetuating that lie....they are experts at manipulation with little conscience as to what happens when a veteran is permanently injured

very sad state of affairs...I've dealt directly with these people....it just ain't right

keep telling the truth brother
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
