nirvana is a slice away

Post by saw » April 7th, 2016, 10:09 am

anything you can consume
waits for you at Amazon,
warrior women now reside
in chat boxes, the once mighty
river has turned into a warehouse
with soulless robot treasure hunters

No Need to walk to your car, Ever,
stay in your chair, log in to the future,
your password unlocks the doors
of dreams, your credit card on file...
fingers of magic to massage all
of your desires, stroke your genitalia

explode on to your front porch
sometimes the same day, why bother
with the creeps in the mall, why ever
interact with any other humans, there isn't
even a need to speak to the UPS driver
just ogle him from the window curtain

then sprint to the locked door
like you bolt for a panting lover, snatch
the parcel from the designated hiding place
grab the box cutters from the junk drawer
in the kitchen.....nirvana is a slice away
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Be grateful, oh ye of the Western Hemisphere -- I can't get anything past Argentine Customs. No books, no paperweights, nothing. Boo. Hoo. Sue

The smell of after shave still sends me
I love the green haired skateboarders
And the guy living on his boat
In the river willamette where people paddle dragon boat
Everyday at 730-
But Amazon and I had a brief love affair
I felt like so cool
But I have night time. Bike riding. Nike s now
I want to be seen when I roll
I love this write- isolation. Can be fun
But I know what ya mean
I have my toliet paper
, paper towels and anything heavy delivered
I'm getting weak
But smarter hah the jibberish we tell ourselves
To get thru

brave new world
without troubling shades of gray
just ones and zeroes
yes's and no's
a game of 20 questions
to the nth power
quantum reality
at the scale of iToys
toaster ovens
sex lube
useless bling
via teleportation!
whither the journey?

So many people today are totally possessed by the electronic dreams in the gadgets we own.

About the poem "warrior women in the chat Boxes"? What does that refer to? Why "warrior"?

danno, reference to warrior women is from Greek mythology ( the race of Amazon Warrior Women) and in reference to the poem the suggestion is that the proud warrior image from the word Amazon has been reduced to women answering stupid questions about the shit you ordered on line..... :D
