the place that she came from was sand
palm springs california
her paint bushes highlighted the flesh tones
it was said
that michelangelo slept in his shoes
that they had to be cut off from his feet
he was slightly obsessed
but we encourage no self-care
or anything but go go g go go
back when my mama
was young and beautiful
they drank so much coffee and cigs
danced in little white boots in cages
nightclubs
weird clothing from the 70 s
poetry that made no sense
ha ha awwwww

For the poetry to make sense
is to ask dreams to explain
why and how it becomes now
tune your harp and whet the drum for the evening
write them a poem
and wait

making sense is subjective.....lies in the vision of the beholders.....and is often dull

write, paint, sculpt what you feel.....keep it for yourself, or turn it over to the public
either way is okay....even sleeping with your shoes on

Yeah, not sure how artists can stand the whole thing... then again, without the whole thing-- no artists. Whaddya expect when those who made sense tried to destroy the place so many times? Stop Making Sense!... (D. Byrne)

Yeah, good 'ol 20th century-- my home town in Time, when the arcs of Sense/Anti-Sense all started to curve into each other and merge, verge and splurge ...

I went to Palm Springs once. I liked it. Kind of. Land of a Thousand Golf Courses. A lot of plastic surgery.

Revolutionrabbit lives not far from there, I think. Anyone heard from him lately?

One place I'm still curious to see-- where they really did "paint dirt" ...

Maybe if I ever get out there again ...
