in a world with too many
grossly overweight under exercised
citizens with avoidable health problems
I'm told they now have cars
that drive themselves, park
themselves, so you needn't ever lift
a finger, I mean why take a chance
on breaking a well manicured fingernail,

there are hover-boards
so you don't have to walk
microwavable food so you don't have to
cook, electric toothbrushes
so you never need to tax your forearms
hurt your wrist...gasoline powered blowers
destroying the planet with their awesome
contribution to greenhouse gases

so you never have to rake
another leaf, never have to sweep
newly mowed grass from another sidewalk,
electric can openers burning up the grid
garbage disposals so you don't need to compost
weed-whackers to shred anything in this world
you don't want to see, isn't it GREAT
I don't have to do anything !

now if I can just get me a pair of automatic shoes that'll take me hiking.......

I know it's pure blasphemy but the thought of an electric bike is seductive to me - maybe when I get to my seventies or eighties -
