art in the streets

Post by creativesoul » August 13th, 2016, 9:12 pm

it was suggested i go paint down there
in the garden
bring all my paintings down there next to the coffee shop
its so hot
are you kidding?
looking around at the smaller ones
with a simple handmade wooden frame
maybe i should go do it in the morning
prepare to paint
i dont understand
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

I never understood art either.
I'd like to think that after awhile
I sensed it even if I couldn't quite make it,
though I was getting closer the whole time,
I think . . .

making art and selling art
polar opposites
never had that business thang
even with the carpentry
had a hard time doin' the hustle
word of mouth worked just fine
no need to to get all corporate
do good work, make good art
people will find you
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

been told I have an eye
for photography
and I think maybe
I do
so I'd like to see
some of my art
my visual 'ku
hanging on walls
not the Louvre
would settle for a coffee house
or two
in Keene NH
but how?
what does a portfolio
of digital photos
even look like?
flash drive?
YouTube?
don't know
so I do
what I do best...
dither

I was surrounded by young art students
The vocabulary alone had me wanting
A secret place a quiet space
No do not make me face the human race

I started meeting other artists when I dropped out of art school

I met all kinds - the kind that like $ -
The kind that cannot really stop
Torn between this world and that one
Over there
Yeah you v
Can get there on two wheels
Wind perfect
Pretty scenery flying by
Some painters do not need the motion
The stillness of the light
The shapes the colors
No escape
But to sell?
Mmmm

Never wanted to sell art of mine sept when I was a kid an nobody wanted to give me a doller a pitcher then.nevr tried to publish anything, painting and writing is breathing, sort of what we are dear. its flowers do not ask to bloom now or birds to sing ,loves request is just to be allowed that hour of imbrace I saw a soilder cry one because he said he did not know how to love ,I told him to forgive and follow his tears as his sarrow and pain indeed was love ,yet its the poet remains mute so often when it is real. Cut loose and paint when the room is to full scatter them around on empty walls . it is the doing will harvest your passions .love the poem.

Funny thing

Courage is the only thing
I didn't put in the little two wheeled cart
Confidence
Instead
Every time I go in or out
I'm confronted with how I need to do this

My ailments are so healed
There are no excuses left but to push it accross the street....
