modern art

Post by revolutionR » August 28th, 2016, 9:35 pm

should our word paintings bleed
black circles slowly
ever expanding the war
long since gone
the wall bleeding
no, we should ask the question
who enters here, who washes
the art off the walls, should we paint
the words as we believe in what
goes down, art washes art

The poem made me ask myself what art is to art and who enters here ,when I was young I painted murals on walls with out being asked , most of them got painted over. One lady said she loved them and let me paint on the inside walls of her house. This was many years ago. she helped me become whole. As artests , I would hope we could have conversations in ever deper layers of color ,I simply want to celeberate the wall and your painting blending into hers into mine into the past and the dreams of the young. When he who enters seeks discord , let them find an empty room full of echos to study in untill they find a differnt art, . This poet sight is a garden , not a place of abuse and ridicule, peace , fellow poets. and what if I do not spell check every thing to prefection? who cares?

the power of words is immeasurable....how they are displayed is art in itself, be it gallery, brick wall on the side of corner store, posters on telephone poles, spray paint or brush....WORDS can alter minds just like the whip.....

I was amazed at the graffiti all through Europe....it's extensive....entire trains are elaborately painted at night , buildings , subways, you name it.....much of it I would characterize as resistance against oppression...words....often portrayed.... immersed in the colors of art
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
