take me to your dealer
I want to cop a dream
something beyond the regular
street shit, I want to free
corralled imagination, 'cause
even clever cowboys can't break
every bronco, see the thrashing hooves
of every possibility, I don't care
if you wear a black stetson and dirty chaps
long as you deliver the goods
papa wants a brand new feedbag
even if it kills me, I hope
you appreciate the metaphor
ladle me a bowl of mushroom soup
from the iron pot above the campfire
I need to taste sublimity on the tongue
beyond the rote calculation, beyond
all understanding of measurement
the dusty trail, the evaporated stream
beyond the parallel tree lines, the cross section
of paradise lost and the mountain overlook
it's a brave new world, Slim... it's called today !!
tomorrow is so passe , is it a crime
to never look over your shoulder ?

When it becomes a crime to write a poem, when some some poetry sire treats other poets
like they did a crime because they wrote in their own voice. this is what has been gping on for far too long. The creator was either a poet or a blind force.

crime |krīm|
noun
an action or omission that constitutes an offense that may be prosecuted by the state and is punishable by law: shoplifting was a serious crime.
• illegal activities: the victims of crime.
• an action or activity that, although not illegal, is considered to be evil, shameful, or wrong: they condemned apartheid as a crime against humanity | it's a crime to keep a creature like Willy in a tank.
ORIGIN Middle English (in the sense ‘wickedness, sin’): via Old French from Latin crimen ‘judgment, offense,’ based on cernere ‘to judge.’

Biased on to judge.

I get just to be free to explore ,with out persecution for the request of new vision, the persecution is for fear that you will discover the truth, it is not often found ,but when it is found it holds a power that is difficult to counter . In a world full of lies this makes so many folks uncomfortable. I enjoyed the street image of a cowboy dealer, I have seen this dude. The poems request made me think about the magic we look for in words , when found how it pleases the brain in ways I do not completely understand or even begin to explain, this poem defiantly does that. The poet is comfortable with his words and at home in the work, a great breakfast here.
