hands

Post by saw » September 3rd, 2016, 12:12 pm

the clock
is a determined
son of a bitch
an indifferent killer

bent on taking years
so easy...like candy from a baby
that isn't armed...thing is
some babies have a mighty grip

never give up their sugar
resistance
is a rag-tag guerilla army
hiding in the jungle of time

slow down roadrunner
why this maniacal march ?
everyone but you takes five, now and then
take a little nap !

when I look at your face
your hands seem to be waving wildly
I know you haven't changed your pace....
yet the illusion is bothersome just the same

don't you understand I have a list
things to accomplish before my sun sets
how will I ever cross everything off
if you don't cooperate with me a little

even god rests on sundays
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Then we found that time was now
the poem asks me how
can I explain
that it is and will be
we will do more than we know
if we live today
you see
your poetry
inspires me
what more can we ask?
thanks

Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

Moments pass
Day after day
Finding us in age
My bones creak.

My heart bounces
His thought remains
My emotion holds
And I cannot speak.

It is the fault of my own
For now is not the time
But here and now moments pass
And time consumes my thoughts.
And above me the stars align
But not yet with my own
And the night birds sing
Whilst the demon haunts this restless soul.
