I read great writers and poets
but I was always a poet of a kind of
street view of poetry
that is I studied the people
let out of mental institutions
in those days when the governor
let all those people out
I lived in a town were
there were a lot of poets
walking around mingling
with the crazy people
in those days a lot of the time
you could could not tell one from the other
that was my poet of the street view of
being born into this

what I mean to say is that it is not crazy
to seem crazy in a totally insane society
