**Have edited this poem. This is the "new" version:

It is the danger of kisses
which keeps us close;
after they end, there might
be nowhere to go.
You see, I will lose you
eventually; it is written
in this poem we shall pass
at different times.
September is telling me this,
shaking its leaves in my face
before they fall.
Sometimes I measure my life,
just waiting to see you again.

wonderful poem.....palpable loss dressed up into artistic expression....

time graces us with each a different cast
The stars align showing us that even she changes
Autum arrives leaving summer past
And the world rearranges.

Though kisses may keep you close
And though rough times may be ahead
The places we create are where we can go
And warmth from daylight keeps in heartaches stead.
