sunday morning
fat as a pampered hog
my affluence is modest
yet profound

I am allowed to be idle
eschew the mop
for the ballpoint pen
I am a man of leisure

earned from a life
of toil and determination
I'm chillin' like a villain
spillin'

my guts on lined paper
willin'
to dare to be present
with my overactive brain

fullfillin'
poetry dreams
drillin' for nuggets of wisdom
I'm just a chillin' villain who's quillin'

spilln', willin', fulfillin' and drillin'

surrounded and contained
by the letters of the law

so I can be healthy
