"if any thing should happen to me now"

just think this was given in 1951
we were being told then
what needed to happen
the speech delivered by the alien

since then Hollywood gave us Star Trek
and Star Wars, but the fundamental
message of that 51' movie
was that the military industrial complex
was destroying the planet

and that aliens were watching us
and could intervene
this is the basic Sci fi story
from 51' on the message has been
dragged through a cesspit of Hollywood
but the message is still the real one
and one day the world will stand still

one of the classics, a sci-fi spin on the life & message of Jesus - much better (IMMHO) than the short story upon which it was based, "Farewell to the Master", by ???. Heard that a remake was in the works - I hope it crashes & burns & dies stillborn, Hollywood can't remake a film like that without car chases, pornographic gore, explosions, & CGI up the ass.

Interesting response, it was sci-fi books that informed me when I was a teenager , also I thought of myself as a beatnik, I always liked sci-fi books and read a lot of them, my favorite was Philip K. Dick, who had some kind of spiritual experiences, and wrote about the Gnostics
and thought the Logos was speaking to him, the movie Blade Runner from his book was maybe the best sci-fi movie ever made. The thing is Hollywood is controlled by dark forces, as it has become more and more obvious, that sci-fi is now about artificial intelligence, and brainwashing us to accept the future they have planned for us. The Day the World Stood Still
was just when all this technology was coming, and really was a warning, of world destruction.
Also there were a lot of UFO sightings around that time.It is obvious to anybody that does research that the powers that be have technologies that they are hiding from us and or are suppressing. As a poet I have always been aware of things that most people never think or know about, but I was a poet years before computers came along, so my knowledge was limited to what I could find in a library or a book store.

I'm watching "The Invasion (2007)" right now on HBO. What a trip!

An adaptation of The Invasion of the Body Snatchers

The Day the Earth Stood Still, is supposedly about a real person that came from another planet I think Venus, to talk to president Eisenhower. Hollywood is giving us bits and pieces of things that are real, showing us technology that the powers that be already have. From what I understand there are good aliens and bad aliens, it goes all the way back to our origins. But the way the cabal that is creating all these wars is going it is not unlike the invasion of the body snatchers. I listen to a lot of people on the internet talk about this stuff, but there is a lot of different versions. I saw something in the sky when I was a teenager one night with my friends, it was not a flying saucer, but it was an object that just hung there in the sky, or maybe it was a opening to another dimension, and I was not on LSD that night. There are things that are difficult to talk about, because we have been lied to for so long, but poets open up the passageway to seeing the writing on the wall, the words put there by some unknown artist.

Of course I always thought that song was about spacing out on psychedelics, but maybe the Byrds had some kind of close encounter with a real space man. 8)

Yeah, maybe. Here's what Wikipedia said about it:
The song was initially written by band member Jim McGuinn as a "melodramatic screenplay" but it soon evolved into a whimsical meditation on the existence of extraterrestrial life.
The single release of the song was accompanied by a spoof press announcement from The Byrds' co-manager, Eddie Tickner, stating that he had taken out a $1,000,000 insurance policy with Lloyd's of London against his clients being kidnapped by extraterrestrial visitors.[11] Despite Tickner's statement being an obvious publicity stunt and the deliberately tongue-in-cheek nature of the song's lyrics, both McGuinn and fellow band member David Crosby felt hopeful about communicating with alien life forms through the medium of AM radio broadcast.[2] In a later interview with Pete Frame for ZigZag magazine, McGuinn explained how he believed that this would have been possible: "I was interested in astronomy and the possibility of connecting with extraterrestrial life and I thought that it might work the other way round, if we tried to contact them. I thought that the song being played on the air might be a way of getting through to them. But even if there had been anybody up there listening, they wouldn't have heard because I found out later that AM airwaves diffuse in space too rapidly.

this might be off-topic...but wanting ETs to weigh-in seems like still wanting a god. higher authority, someone who knows what's what.
i think it's just us.
nobody else to blame or hope for, it's just...us.

my opinion, not much weight to that.

I have been thinking about this my whole life, if et's came here millions of years ago, and had something to do with the humans in so far as they had advanced technology, then we would think of them as gods. There is no easy way to think about this, but people have been seeing things, and many people are involved in various phenomena, that is why sci fi movies are so big. The world is on the brink of destruction, So if there are not good et's working to change what went wrong long ago, then humans may cease to exist, as least as we know it.All you have to do is google Eisenhower and ET and it will begin you on a journey that will take you down the rabbit hole, and the only question is how far does the rabbit hole go. It is no longer just believing that the ufo's are gong to save us, and they are like god, the question you have to ask yourself is do you think us humans were here only six thousand years ago, or do you see the technology of the pyramids and wonder where it came from. There is a machine called Cern that in the news it is said that they found the so-called God particle, do you think that this is all there is to it, some scientists looking for particles? No they are fiddling with the universe
and are trying to open up other dimensions, then the question is, is this dangerous and who does this serve. Look around you, most people now believe that the news media is not telling us the truth, there has been a huge cover up about most things that really matter to us, in all spheres of our lives, and Et's is one of them, or entities from other dimensions. You either don't see what is right in front of your eyes or you begin the long slow process of opening you eyes to what has been hidden for so long. I'm not saying become some kind of new age true believer, I'm saying that there is a lot of information out there on all this stuff, and you can shrug it off and pretend nothing is happening, or you can begin to look into what it is that you don't know about. And really i always thought that a poet should question everything. What do you got to lose? At the very least it will give you some ideas for a poem. Good luck and happy hunting.

I used to think the theory of aliens was total hogwash. But I don't know any more. I've also been thinking about the theory that we are descended from aliens, and the gods of the ancient tribes were really aliens and it seems plausible. Who knows? Pyramids are being discovered all over the world, beneath the oceans, for instance.... not just in Egypt. Who built them? What are they for?

Right, the pyramids were huge energy generators that served various purposes. The point is is that ancient civilizations go way way back, and they had more advanced technologies then we have today. So that if et's came here millions of years ago with advanced technology then why are things so messed up now. Well there are lots of books written about all this stuff, but in any case the powers that be have alien technology, but it has not been used for the betterment of humankind. So we are dealing with good et's and bad et's. The story showed in The Day the Earth Stood Still is a message of a good ET, in the original movie that came out in 51' the man from another world was offering technology for the betterment of all humankind. Some people I have been listening to on Youtube say that the good et's are winning and someday this technology that will help all of humankind will be available. We know for instance that the famous inventor Tesla wanted to have free energy but the powers that be again put a stop to that, and made us pay for electricity, and so it goes.

I don't really buy the theory of good ETs and bad ETs. Wish we had some proof of whether there even *were* aliens.

It is possible they were energy generators, yeah, but there's no proof of that.

But the facts that they are so old, located in many places all over the earth, and so HUGE ... those facts definitely make me curious as to who built them. I find it extremely intriguing.
