the mingle of memory and desire

Post by saw » September 25th, 2016, 10:09 am

leafy shadows wave
across the mortar and brick
slender dancers for an old man
with curious eyes in search of art,
the stained glass transom
bold as the geometry of a rainbow
cut into precise shapes, leaded
on the borders of fading time...
the patient feminine hands
so many birthdays used up,
where is she now ?
does she ever think about me
when she stares into the back yard
for sparks of ancient fireflies
and how many others just like us
sit at this very moment, eyes
trained on muted puzzle pieces
hand blown colors with a universal eye
how many hold that same thought
to be dissected like a consortium
of former lovers, notes for unrecorded
consideration.........how many ?
are we speaking to each other without
the need for actual words
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

it sounds nailed!

Rafael Winslow Tang needs to read this... if only I knew him.

there are days
towards the end of September
when you read things
and it feels like
you're being swept
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.
