my dad worked in an aircraft factory

my dad worked for an aircraft factory
he moved from Wisconsin when I was three
to California to get a job, I never knew why
he moved but someone must have told him
he could get a job in an aircraft factory
he bought one of the first tracked homes
when I was five, the year Disneyland opened
so I lived there in Anaheim when there were
still orange groves, but in a tracked home
my dad went to his job at this aircraft factory
he was just some low level worker, he ordered
parts, but I do remember at some point
that he signed something that gave him some low
level clearance, in other words he had to not talk
about something that he knew about, my dad
never talked about much of anything to me
he was nice to me but he was very distant
I was not happy about that, he was almost a stranger
my childhood was pretty normal otherwise
but growing up in Anaheim was kinda drab
I did not have any woods to take walks in
all the houses looked the same, and I watched a lot
of television, but my dad seemed so far away
he did take me and my mom for rides to the desert
and the mountains on weekends, but otherwise
I did not know my dad, he was to very to himself
I found out today by reading some information
on the internet just released that the company
he worked for was involved in very advanced technology
in the early fifties on that was about space travel
that they were developing thrusters that could send
ships into outer space, but it was all top secret
apparently there was knowledge about these technologies
going back to the twenties, but where did it come from
we know that Germany was working on this sort of thing
anyway I don't know what my dad knew, but he must
have heard about things, I always wondered why
he was so hush hush, and I will never know what he knew
or if he knew anything, but he was affected by the
secret atmosphere of that aircraft company
I wish he had been a plummer or something
