Nuts

Post by creativesoul » December 22nd, 2016, 5:25 pm

I love squirrels
And apparently they are smart
Way more slick than I could ever be
They like nuts
Always gathering
That fluffy tail like a ballerina
In the spotlight

But the nuts that are human
Are so sad to see
Because I so remember when it was me
I had acorn eyes
In the soil
My feet carried me far
In the very cold winter chill
With my snow gear

I'm nuts you say to walk so far
But the dog likes it
And so do I
I am crazy enough
To feel the trees
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

we live in one huge nut house
I always think of poets as being crazy
because you have to be crazy to be one
or kinda crazy, in a good way

in my case I was considered crazy
because I did not wast to go in the army
and train to kill people in some far off country

it's like One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
that great novel by Ken Kesey, remember the Indian
remember the merry pranksters, the acid test
or Neal Cassidy driving the psychedelic bus

we need more kinda crazy poets in a good way
a lot of the poets I knew back in the good ole days
really were pretty off their nut
but some of them could really crank out a poem
so much poetry that nobody will ever read
floating around out there in the either

such is the mirror, you see well,
from one tree to another...
sink those roots deeper
and stretch those limbs higher,
pull that energy together
from mother and father...

that's what my master has
me doing this week

thanks
peace

Good plan- - I will be painting
Cooking
Cleaning
Sitting by the window listening to the tree
That takes care of me
There is a hotel across the street
I can see the pool from here
That funny blue water thru a hotel glass
I was here today
Listening to my body
It's so cold outside
I have a sub zero jacket and a mink coat
If the power goes out
I'm going over to that hotel
As I'm sure they have a generator
This is my survival plan
No guns or surplus foods
Just a very cool dog
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
