You Must Specify a Subject

Post by the mingo » January 9th, 2017, 11:47 am

went by
the old paper mill
/ yesterday

it's been closed for decades

my father worked there
for :years

singing the blues
and making :paper

coming home
and going back in again
the :next day
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

Time passes
We pass
You and I
Like dust
in the wind
Then we are
no more......

my tick has tocked
but st jack was nimble
Jack knew time
as he watch the world disappear beneath his feet

time without rhyme
just a whine
when I was a kid
I felt like a ghost
back then when
I walked that waterfront in baltimore
from fells point to federal hill
looking down on a gone world
I am so much older now
this old age is a trip
time is a blur

just a jam don't mean a damn
but I likes it
