poetry is a hard game
it consists of words written on the road
of life, imagine all the changes
going on on this planet
when Jack Kerouac was writing
his poetic works

if Jack could see what was coming
down the road he likely wanted
to stay in the now, he was in the jazz
of now, zen was not about then
or when, but he was not just typing

no writer poet is just typing
they become a conduit for what is really
happening, not what is being spoon fed to
the people, the poet is open to the jazz
to the hep of the moment, the cat out
of the bag moment, let the words sing

the beat writers knew what was a drag
maybe Jack wanted to only see what
was going down the road,
not what was coming

politics by its very definition is killing us
there should be no need for politics
there should be only enlightened people
the word politics means that we are being
lied to, and we believe that we can
make a better world through the illusion
of democracy, but politics will never
make a better world, only give us
false hope

poetry goes deep, but we don't know what deep is, that is why we listen to the jazz.
