John Lennon said, the world is run by insane people
by those seven words he spelled out the truth
John was a true artist, and a poet of life
because he would not bend to the powers that be
he just kept telling the truth, in the face of that
which was doing everything the opposite of peace
and love

I agree with John, the world is run by insane people
or the people that have been running the world
the things they do are insane, but the meaning of that
is that they do what they do only for themselves

in a sane world the people running things would do good
not what they do, John was not just a Beatle
he had the soul of a poet, and he spoke the simple truth
and they killed him for it, strawberry fields forever

I lived in New York City at the time and went to the gathering in his honor
I agree with john on just about everything
