street car of poems

[revolutionR]

the street car fell off the moon
people were going underground
to ride the train to the sky door

as poets walked through beatnik alleys
that are some kind of time tunnels
we are still in Kerouac alley
looking for the light at the far end
through the Frisco fog

saxophones appeared on neon corners

that sang in the night to the stars
the poet's words wandered
through the windows of the sea
of city lights
