Not alone

Funny those thoughts
That defend the indefensible
In the dark of the night
The dog scratched
Nervously
As he had been bathed moments before
Still damp but ready to go
The ball is in his mouth and I carry a leash
We fake it if we see animal patrol

But no matter about the things that hurt so much yesterday
I painted them
Let them go
Twisted hearts
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
