The heat came on by ten- anything you have to do - you have to do by 130
And then the long quiet of fiesta and air conditioning
I miss the blur of continuous cigarettes and the roaches in the ashtray
Back when my body was young and resilience was a real thing

Now it is a painting I have not done yet
Describing the sweetness of youth
Magical moments in a lifetime
Of children and marriages and colorful thoughts

Sons that bloomed into honorable young men
That
Women love and want to share
Oh it is beautiful
I dare you
To live an enchanting dream

No words left
Perfection of the soul

your artist is alive and well

i had turned my head once again towards words that i heard in the wind
rented a studio to paint in
then had to work the food banks to surrvive
but the magic that happens with the humility of allowing
some divine providence to shine through
and how time seems to be like a really wide sky
that maybe my spiritual eyes can feel
like a blindness with a moment of clarity
thankful my grandmother went to excercise class
three times a week
that she ate peanut butter every day and walked that poodle all the time
the buffalo used to watch her in the bowling shoes i made her wear
so she wouldnt fall down
those days were filled with sadness and joy and alzhiemers
now i see hummingbirds and roadrunners and know that the divine has not left with her...

Roadrunners are a good sign when you see them, they have their own language.
I think the Indians in the desert use to know how to talk to them.

Good to see the words singing for the gift of living , we circle round in big sweeping orbits but when that island of light comes into view it always reminds me of you
