Alms

[the mingo]

giving alms at dawn
to a one-armed ark
and a bombed-in blonde
carved outta chalk
no flaw in her garb
even the wasps without qualms
at the parks, the nought, or the shops
- - the swamp yawns
- - blows its nose
- - out come psalms
chaos churchyard catch the watts
nobody belongs to the bedrock
assault & applause
a swan's backyard dissolves
can't stop the adopt
frog posts a guard
then gets robbed hard
no longer thinks seriously
of straw but votes for launch
our faces on fire
dislodged, aloft, & distraught
sparks flying over marginal games

I voted ? woke up and read this first thing, my brain tells me that is not fair. It is word music to me ,tempted by the tempo to understand a standard meaning for the linking of the thinking of a reason, treason,yes and definatly "sparks flying over marginal games ". A poets poem . I like the work for the abstract texture and the understood that seeps through.
