why would a man
play his stand-up bass
til there was a blister,
a raised pouch of fluid
forced into a bubble of skin
by obsessive behavior

it would seem
after so very many years
on the planet, a man
would know better
than to deliberately
hurt himself

so, I've learned nothing
I've lived and breathed
and abused myself so often
it seems like normal to me
I've jumped from the rim
into the canyon to see if I could fly

by these standards I am normal also , but then, who will know those wonderful ( but fleeting) moments of flight. if they do not jump?

or axiomatic in vehement aftermath ? I love this shit even though there is no cellar under my place - just sitting on top of the earth and smiling - good poem enjoyed

the path it takes trickling downhill
no one can decide for it

Normal is boring as hell maybe?
(The easy stock answer that's been around for a looong time now...)
