the original coffee-stained copy
was folded up in my guitar case

it was about that day we met

as I was peering down into the park
at the music stage in the glen
across from the art museum

I was trying to listen to the band,
decide whether I wanted to walk down the hill
to get a better perspective

when you said from behind me
"excuse me, are you heading down ?"
I turned around into the blue vortex of your eyes

your hair waving like a a golden lioness,
I said, " Yes...I am....are you ?".....
that day lasted for four years

One will remember those moments for a lifetime,so unexpected sometimes then in the same moment they are gone , nothing is ever the same, but a folded piece of paper can bring it all back and a poem can just give a glimpse of a magic time , yes
