there is sensual serenity in not planning
it all out, there is peace in surrender
to this very second, this very line in a poem
inked above the ever present blue line

wow, a drug that's actually pretty good
for you, and so I give in and take it....
unsheathe the pen from it's imagined holster
and feed the beast that wants to get out

or am I just a cute little monkey
dancing to some goofy organ music
wearing a ridiculous ruby-red pillbox hat
happy for a banana

P Funk has always been dismissed as "dance music."
It isn't.
