Shoulda called this Gospel of Thomas... Oh John, how he mocked poor old "doubting Thomas." No wonder Thomas- or whoever actually wrote the thing- missed the final Canon cut. How did that Bishop put it back then? "Fictions of heretics," something like that... would have been burned alongside all those other spurious accounts if some monk hadn't buried them out in the desert... finally found in 1945 in all their earthen, heretical glory... 1945 was a surreal year, kinda like a tipping point.

I dunno- I never know what I guess I'm supposed to know-
I am floating in a world of aliens-
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

... mostly just my overall sense of how things may have progressed (or not) to this point-- our faiths, institutions, and all that goes with them. It's interesting (to me at least) to read about the "gospel era"-- what we know about it, though this historical knowledge is filled with gaps...

Maybe it was better when we had God (except maybe not all that Biblical genocide and all..) What do we worship now? The Rod? The bomb blasts of Bombast?

There is a God in every religion- I'm more afraid of people than God.. I can find God everywhere- even inside me-

... the divine within. "The Kingdom of Heaven Is Spread Upon The Earth But Men Do Not See It.” (from Thomas). Maybe those gnostics were onto something. Maybe not.

I never forgot that one either. I was thinking about all the time I spent down in Vegas... Sometimes it seems just a matter of time before the sea of guns rises up and comes for me...

John was a good guy, I think. How often is one mistaken for a Messiah, step back, and say, "Not me...him."
