Moon's Final Outtake

MOON'S FINAL OUTTAKE

Spheres converging and merging
As she pulls and fools
Even the most stoic of zero’s and hero’s;
Causing turnings and churnings of liquid expanses:
Un-side down or right side up,
They seldom flow the same.
Our line of site is not quite right
Three hundred sixty-degree rays of light
Momentary total night, and we’re found
Fantasizing in mesmerizing shadows
Wiggling upon a light desert landscape
Wishing for a subtle escape;
But the wolves are howling and yowling,
The cocks are crowing and woeing,
And katydids are chattering and clattering
Telling of history’s mystery’s centuries in the making.

Prince charming appears amid cheers
Bearing beads of seeds in ringed brilliance
His foggy resilience abating then resonating
Castrating the eyes of the on-lookers
Blinded into seeing the seething
Remnants of his loves raiment’s
Before she drifts silently, purposely, eloquently
Into the arms of other lovers
Who hover just out of reach.
Somewhere in the east.

Venus frowns upon moon’s salaciousness
While Mars ventures westward from her audaciousness
His red jealous rage a hysterical spectacle
Which no one really takes all too seriously.
Jupiter chides Venus
How dare she chastise that which comes natural?
Excellent reverence was made for bodies of the celestial.
And what of Mercury, you may ask in query?
He heralds the next rendezvous, when the moon feels anew
Three weeks after Spring equinox twenty, twenty-four.
So, I shall open a window, and perhaps a door,
As Mercury says we should expect more guests
But he is also known, occasionally, to digress.

Footnote: I don't often rhyme but this somehow started coming out that way and it was a fight to continue the scheme all the way to the end. Please forgive me. :) Much love and (((hugs))).

Mercury goes renegade retrograde sometimes, but that whole gang, the planetary coterie, doesn't hit me so hard. It's Luna, she's the one to outshine stars, light up hills in a silky silver sheen, though fickle as a dream, never the same face or place in the night sky..

I'm not much of an astrological buff and I am left wondering who the new Planet will be that will be visible during the next eclipse. I do intend to be in an area to view it in totality; I was only able to watch a partial this go 'round.
