My poems are as long or as short as I please.
I’m a storehouse of verses and rhymes yet untapped
To a dashing young poet, the writing’s a breeze
Much trickier, finding an audience rapt.
I’m a storehouse of verses and rhymes yet untapped
And all it requires is talent and skill-
Much trickier, finding an audience rapt
Than putting these inkstains on parchment with quill.
And all it requires is talent and skill-
More difficult, lighting a publisher’s fire
Than putting these inkstains on parchment with quill.
Who’ll pay what is worthy, these words to acquire?
More difficult, lighting a publisher’s fire-
To a dashing young poet, the writing’s a breeze
Who’ll pay what is worthy, these words to acquire?
My poems are as long or as short as I please.
