God - ? Creator? Big guy?

Post by creativesoul » October 15th, 2017, 1:13 pm

She was looking for God
When she was a child grandma
Took her to church: coloring palms
Doughnuts and coffee-

Now she knew she was not a" good girl"
That she would have to work at it
Too much bad had happened
She somehow rewired herself so
She could hear only what she wanted to

The young people's pastor could not talk to her because
He was Facebooking a live video
The Christian rock band was rehearsing

Children began to arrive
Is jesus in the building
Or at the top of those mountains
Or inside of me she asked

The old people's church was old style- seemed like
Ghosts over there
She couldn't figure out which one to go to
So she left
Looking for God

"god" ain't some big balding white guy
wearing robes and a beard
smiting
begetting
and all that shit
god is every sunrise
every raindrop
every star, every planet
every furry or feathered
or scaled or chitinous thing
that crawls, slithers, swims, flies, hops, runs....
god is every tree
every blade of grass
every flower
every act of love
every thorn
every act of violence
every act of hate
god just is what is
and that's all there is
to that

God yes, but "God-in-a-Box," not so much. Religion has accomplished a lot over the centuries, good and bad, beautiful and horrific depending on pov and who's participating at the time, but it has a peculiar recurring habit of trying to box up God (the supposed almighty force and source of everything) in its own little boxes, and how cosmically ironic is that?

He was not there
It was ok
Maybe he was in porta Rico
Or Florida
Or in Santa Rosa or in Montana
Where fires are burning
So fast
Years of trees
Maybe Creator is trying to find a way to put those out
Maybe trump is such an asshole that God is trying to reach him
But there is just too much white noise in there

If GOD is a just a big guy he can't be everywhere,
but if GOD is everything, then maybe everywhere..

I saw some God- felt some God -- when I went to an old friends house- an took these books that I was not reading- and well- they are of the " don't lose hope variety"
I wanted to give her something to help her not to destroy herself anymore.... well that did happen...?
For now-
Perhaps it is just something that I can only give at random- and she did tell me" I'm not ready yet"...which ; I appreciate- because the purity of honesty sounds like God-
Serenity gushing out- Sunlight of the spirit radiant-
I pray all the time- i know what it feels like when I just know I'm being heard- sometimes I can feel the slight- like the moment a shift in energy occurs..

Many (too many) years ago I had what might be called a transcendental experience one afternoon, fueled in part by stress, alcohol, and cannabis... hard to describe... my life had taken a wrong turn, and I felt like I was being swept downstream against my will... then, as I sat alone by the edge of a small pond, Cosmos reached out to me a comforting hand... I wept uncontrollably with pure, unashamed relief... since then, every bowl, every joint, every bong I've smoked has been an attempt to recreate that moment, with only limited success. Will try to document the moment in Stories... stay tuned... film at 11:00. And now for Sports.........

yah, I've had two ambulance rides - but those were both for externally-induced injuries, not the machine malfunctioning. My closest brush with The End came 50 feet underwater....
