wild horses,
slashing hoofs
against the ribcage
I burn in a trashy pyre
on the inside
the outside is mostly ruse
for the squeamish public
I understand
they are not prepared
to drink the urine,
why would they be ?
so it's up to me
to contain the reality
dress it up like a kardashian
appropriate for modern consumption
mascara lines drawn by picasso
lots of cleavage and skin
the coral lipstick of the devil or some god
application pretty and straight
the powder and rouge
I walk my made-up story
hunky dory
it's all for a good cause
I'm fine with this
I have my unique secrets that make me

and I am them
