steps along a cosmic path, photographs
from your vacations...a spurt of growth marked with pencil lines
in the doorway to the pantry

tangled vines you admire from afar
a spiderweb of diversity with unlimited range
a myriad of artistic endeavor

and all you can tell me is....it makes no sense....
maybe to you, but you can not be the judge and jury
all you can be is....you

I expect people to understand. And I am dispionted when they claim they do not really I don’t care. ... art has its own language. Some people don’t understand color or shape.. they want a boat or a seascape
I can only aspire to “ understand “... because what I see

been having bigtime
communications problems with my sister
the other night i repeated the same short sentence six times
at one point she cocked her head sideways like a dog
but never seemed to understand the simple words

in the end
I realized, and been coming to this conclusion slowly
that when any new info doesn't match her belief system
she simply refuses to take it in
it might upset the apple cart
and so she looks confused...and deaf...and defiant
