He would say he was a character actor
That my grandfather was a movie star
It has confused me forever

In the trailer park in a z my Poppy sits in his lazy boy chair his wife in the other
I get the prisoner chair
The interrogation begins

He gets all one world order
And loving service
Pray pray pray that Baha’i thing

Then I get taken to where there are Native American canupas forsale
I almost started crying because he won’t stop preaching
It’s xmas shut up I tell myself
It’s a beautiful thing until the used car salesman shows up in my mind and starts telling me about the community and the religion
I finally explained I won’t be studying Baha’i writing
Really?
Am I to bend all the way backwards?
No
I am saying good bye my father
I have had enough characters
I’m tired

Enough dreams of daddy ever knowing who I am
I cannot listen to another cowboy song
In the trailer park

I listen to a lot of music that some call 'Americana'

He remembers various things about Hollywood
It is like the twilight zone

Later on while nursing broken bones
From bar fights and cowboy horse stunts
C o p d from years of cigarettes and booze
Talking Hollywood like a toasted cracker

In the meantime
His daughter wants only a pedicure a hot face wax and a massage

Must have been fun

I have seen women that were once girls
That had time to do the curls
Daddy bought them a car
Talked to them like they had value
Not like a captive audience
My prayers are so often that he would just shut up
On and on about him - his life- his books- his old assed movies-
I do not exist - he wants to brag- about grandchildren and children he had no hand in making who they are
That kills him
He drank it all away
He tells his women about his difficult life
As a Hollywood movie stars son
It’s a total novel waiting to be written
And he is so victimized by everyone
I could freak out and drink at him
Be angry on him
But he can barely walk
And I suppose they buy those kind of homes
Because they are so fucking small you can hang onto the walls and not fall
His wife is getting unhealthy from taking care of my father
I feel like something is eating my head when I’m trapped in his trailer

My father is now giving people in foriegn countries driving instructions to pioneer town in the high desert
I took my friend of 34 years there for the day

I told him
Do not give me instructions
So he has found someone else to give instructions to
