the dark anejo tickles
throat and mind. fiery honey
for thirsty neurons
the lemon haze takes the place
of purple

how does a man play
his guitar upside down
how low can a bass-man go
should there be a limit I mean...
how can a human ear claim superiority

is the mind restricted to familiar sounds
is there a way to unleash the spirit dogs
on the edge of the circle
is it silly to believe there is more
is it silly to believe ?

I threw faith and science into a mixing bowl
the salad tongs flipped reason and mystery
like metal lobsters in search of defiant starfish,
is there an end to the depth of the ocean
is there an end to the height of the sky

is heaven above all that sky, is hell below all that ocean
where are the beacons of light that heal
are they inside the dusty tomes of strangers
or perhaps in the heart of the roaming buffalo,
is it silly to want more love ?

is it silly
for me to continue to write
continue to say nothing
have I become a babbling wannabe
an obsessed man with little time
and a desire to confess, is this all
just silly ?

Your writing is NOWHERE silly! It is definitely NOT silly! Please keep writing. You have a gift.

PS... AND you NEVER say "nothing" as you asserted. You say a lot on many different levels!

I must have clicked on four different threads tonight on studio eight, opened a textbox started to write something andbacked out of it. My fingers were willing but the keyboard was fighting back.

then I read your poem and all of a sudden I had a lot I could type.
wind talkers and word talkers
I believe in human stupidity,
in high places

The War that Ended Peace
in Versailles in 1919
reflected in a hall of mirrors
you could see Hiroshima

thanx for the heartfelt comments my poetry family
a weird time for me as I struggle with my biological one

so great to visit with you all...what a privilege
to have a haven of thoughtful sentient beings to converse with

a place to share....give and receive
on a planet in decline it instills hope to have this refuge

now before I continue on into a pile of mush let me just say
