we know how wars start

a green beret with blisters
how do wars start
fake news,
fake news
two words I hardly use
popular delusions and the madness there of
civilization and its discontents
how fragile a thing a civilization is
almost in my life time I have seen it collapse twice
maybe the third time is the charm
every time I see a pregnant woman I see an optimist

never thought about Timothy McVeigh's blisters before
or Gulf War Syndrome
bits and pieces from journalists

about the chemicals used to fight that war
truth out
sooner or later
the truth

usually later
angster gangster

where the hell are the Messiahs when we need them?
yes we know how wars start
I wish him well, because hell, why would I wish him anything else
what is he capable of?

these are the good old days
before the fire next time

life is sweet
and my words are bitter
life has been good for me
so far

life is good
on a green wet morning in the republic of paradise
not actually raining but the humidity must be right at 101 percent,, like walking through water, as I travell the 75 feet to baby sisters front door, its cool but not cold almost perfect temperature minus a few degrees
for reasons that are boring I will not go into why I can't listen to that song, and I can always stand to hear it again.

A long time ago Constantine wrote a poem about ding dongs

thanks for taking the time to read my attempt to write a pome?

yeah, the Joe Walsh tune gave that insider look at some rock stars lives
I always found kinda comical and it was surely a jab in the gut of a lifestyle without obvious restrictions
for me it always made me think, if that that what fame gets you, I think I'll keep the life I have
and yes...my life has also been so far

yes poetry is the complaints department
so many poems I love are complaints.

this text box I have open here on the Poetry Board of StudkoEight™
is a sacred space for me, hardly ever try to write a poem but every once in a while when something happens in this best of all objective space-time objective fact worlds about us, when something happens there that burns my toast on both sides, I bring my anger here.

War will never end
until there is one.

“We’re here to stay,” he told a gathering of troops, “until freedom wins.”
