Into the throat
All she could think of was that tears were coming
That tightness in her stomach

Dreams came into the room and tapped her
Her shoulders were heavy
With favors she owed
To those that helped her
Saved her from wild beasts

Thank you she said as the sadness of being
Eliminating the facts of where and why
These things happen
Her sisters left her feeling like Cinderella

Things sure do happen....

Ice cream seemed to be the only salvation
The pleasure of swallowing without pain
Smiling as she felt whole again
