happiness will not leave me
i feel abandoned from grief
and the lies of ten thousand years
that have filled my eyes and ears

happiness will not leave me
i cannot believe in belief
that is built upon fabrications
choking joy with manipulations

happiness will not leave me
as i giggle with a fools grin
at the madness evolving slowly
against the batons of the holy

happiness will not leave me
for it has become my shadow
that is not cast in darkness
but built upon the everlastings

i am free from the bonds of depression
and merely wave my hand away at aggression
that seduces the minds strengthen by fears
while I laugh from my belly full of beers

happiness will not leave me
with an empty look of confusion
as my spirit glows beyond confinement
ripping the lids off of defilement

no, happiness is my completeness
joy - the maidservant of my life
passion - the fuel that consumes me
bliss - the blanket the covers me

do i have any other reason to be?
