The dates blew off
The palm tree in the yard
The birds came and ate them in the sun
She was watching them
The father of her children
Held the grandson
Smiling
This was a vision
That she had 35 years ago
Happiness is very unusual
Back then it was Nigeria
Milatary coos and getting back to Italy fast with the kids

She saw that little light around them
Suddenly she knew them forever
