The moon stood for moody tides and skies
Lovers steamed in front of us
That love and sometimes lust

The ground beneath my feet
Activated dna waking up like
Was in another world
The sun beat down in the bodies
Now brown and hardened in the earth
Like a mysterious vapor they appear

The smile that comes from deep within
That no one can ever take away from you

And they will try
A million reasons
To convince you
That what they say is true

The moon looked so blue this evening
Faces of people I knew
Raced before me like small images

I honestly believe the root cause is economic
as citizens have seen their financial security decline
steadily since the 1970's....And as those around you
struggle more and more some look for someone to blame

the immigrant population has become the scapegoat
for many on the right...the Trump base....It's so weird
to me that those disgruntled folks NEVER look to the top
to the elite that steal a little more each day

how could we sink to place where snatching kids from parents
seems like an ok solution to our economic problems
But sadly there are citizens that are ok with this...we must
RESIST

Yes: and we are: but there is rusty tools from the fucking pilgrims laying around
The intelligence that seems to rob us of our humanity
Will be the thing that makes us warriors

It becomes murder
The world is becoming homeless
I hope we learn to value each other soon
