Keep pushing

Post by Shem » July 26th, 2018, 6:01 am

Give me the right to myself,
To my anger, my foolishness, my self destruction
My angst.
I don't ask you to understand.
I. I rage. I rage against all
Against the foolishness, the injustice, the politics
Against myself.
There's so much more I could be doing!
What? I don't know. But I hate myself for that.
In a climate of fear prejudice and injustice what significance our small flame?
We must keep pushing on.
The odds are ever against us and we are weak
We must keep pushing on.
We are scared, divided and alone.
We must keep pushing on.
We have nothing to offer but our feeble words,
But they must be said,
And we must keep pushing on.
Leave the letter that never begins to go find the latter that ever comes to end, written in smoke and blurred by mist and signed of solitude, sealed of night.

i like your first line, and the last eight w/ their repetition start to sound like song lyrics. that's meant as a compliment. : )
