spank the devil

Post by mtmynd » September 2nd, 2018, 5:36 pm

::spank the devil ~~~

write me words
in flows of glaciers
freeze drying thoughts
stopped in perennial pause
scratching at barriers
that built themselves
around a barren mind
stark with bared emotions..,

cold looks staring
ceaselessly into nowhere
as if blinded by light
penetrating the soul
leaving all else on doorsteps..,

orphaned by existence
bundled in blank-ettes
dutifully unraveling their spell
setting free chained truths
to sail among cragged rocks
chilled by the draped mourning fog..,

spank the d'evil!

the foolishness of fear
upsetting rationality
setting the course
towards that of oblivion

the torch carried high
olympic style across
nomad highways alone with
tight bums & loose drifters
setting themselves free
to wander wonder in rhyme..,

cheap bottles of wine
with their remaining time
left hollow doing nothing
but crying in silent remorse
over memories long passed
leaving their feigned hearts
in weak wakes of emptiness..,

tears running in torrents
of self pity neatly disguised
in words of sorrow begging
for any spare change in life
to continue this lifeless misery
first hand all alone... lonely...

((thumbs double crossed in wishery))

A universe full of drifters in the end.

Reminded me of an old Max Romeo tune...

I'm gonna put on a iron shirt, and chase the devil out of earth
I'm gonna put on a iron shirt, and chase the devil out of earth
I'm gonna send him to outa space, to find another race
I'm gonna send him to outa space, to find another race

I been listening to too much reggae lately...
