Insane with hunger
Questions that will not be answered
All of those things that made a dancer

The moves the sway
Nothing like this way

People held each other
Long and with teasing gestures
Things that my mother
Would not approve

the lovable freaks
every town in 'merica
have this little dance they do
it's their street dance
and it's unique to the stories
that brought them there
they are the sidewalk people
that vanish at night
but in the day they have a swagger
for survival and they're not all homeless either
some just like to show off their strut
