what happened to sleep
lost in the tumbling dice of living ?
box cars rumble through my head
like forgotten dreams
you know took place
but were erased by working class heroism
the toil of chasing a mechanical rabbit
all seems like a waste of time
so now I pull on my zen boots
kick the hullabaloo to the curb
find a quiet bench to watch young lovers
walk hand in hand, dogs off the leash
kids rolling down a big hill, their giggles
the best medicine you'll ever swallow
kites in the sky are the real reality
golden slumbers at the end of Abbey Road
men selling ice cream from a pushed cart
women telling stories of broken hearts
it's all there in the park
there in the Norman Rockwells
the Edward Hoppers, the Grant Woods,
the Georgia O'Keeffe's.....Life, Flowers
in the park
in the park

Re: in the park
Such a beautiful moment that you have captured
And damn good writing
And damn good writing
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
Re: in the park
Nice flow. I enjoyed the read, SAW.
Worth several reads to put it together.
