the friendly skies

Post by saw » October 2nd, 2018, 9:05 am

she took the 6am from L.A.
got up at 2:30 so as not to rush,
she was heading back to the beginning
on another coast with frozen memories....
this place was not on any maps,
ethereal journeys have internal radar
you follow your wandering mind
with no questions or fear of flying,
cruise the friendly skies for an opportunity
to relive a postponed dream of destiny,
explore the lush forests of a second chance
to rearrange all the molecules
shake up all the cob-webbed neurons
a real adventure of the mind, only possible
when you temporarily leave the earth, cover yourself
in a cumulus cardigan to warm the nimbus nights
there was a metamorphosis for her up there...
a new woman with stars in her eyes
walked across the tarmac....and all of that
for a mere four hundred dollars on american airlines
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Mixed feelings about flying. Can't really get the shape of rock from up there. Almost seems like a bit of a rush, or a cheat, though I know that's unfair. Not everything is in walking distance.

Absolutely fabulous- I really was feeling it
I love her
I was her
Then I wasn’t
Brilliant
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
