When I was a young girl
I could only see what my mind would let in

My face
Hurts
The bones ache
The sinus is a snake
Slithering
Through
The heat
Prickly pear

Ears are deaf or amplified everything
Acute sense of smell

Eerie on occasion
Third eye hurts

When it happens
I have to go to a cool dark place until it stops

5 years I have had a rash on my head
Finally a biopsy
After trying everything
I mean everything
I just don’t get how I show these guys ( doctors)
And they act like it’s no big deal
Could dismiss my skin burning
Thankful I am alive at all
More than yearning
Yet I really wish God had not given women facial hair
Pluck wax and pray
Nails feet
It’s ridiculous

My idea of mental health these days
Is a visit to my grandson s
Or a pedicure

Today
I spoke at a treatment center with a headache
I still showed up
No painting for the ladies today-

The moon has hypnoticly taken interest
In the valley
Observers motives were to see that smile

Any length to see that smile
Or to make someone smile

I am hungry
But not for good
If I were a wolf
I would howl
The moonlight just ripples on the creek
Movement and dancing like a freak

I wanted to taste your kisses
Feel you in my heart
I did not know that it was dangerous
