Cannibalism

Post by mnaz » November 10th, 2018, 3:55 am

We got to eat.
A Nation's got to eat.
We're not too far from
eating ourselves.

I would like to make a modest proposal on how to solve the national illegal alien problem.
Some people say eat the rich, but I don't think that will work, just not enough meat there. The poor is where the food is.
Also we would free up more land if we ate the dead too.
We could plant marijuana in that land.

I have been fixated on the old Pogo strip lately. I have met my enemy and he is me.

Don't mind me I am an evil person, a registered democrat new dealer
I used to be smart

Was reading the headlines (aka Trump's Gas) last Fri., and then one of Dino's poems not too long after that, and, well ... this is what ended up in the textbox. Serves me right.

I read a lot of news not watch it much
I read the Times every day, but try not to get sucked in by their fake news, I remember Judith Miller and the boys over at the Pentagon. Nothing wrong with being paranoid they used to say on litkicks, if you are para. . .

I watched the rockets glare into Israel, starving children in Sudan, the Congo, we got to have wars, we are hard wired for it, but the software/culture changes every generation, teach the children we have met the enemy and they are . . .Culture can change overnight or at least over a generation. That is my only hope.
my mind is cluttered with wars.
Let me roll boys let me roll

He said "Every single day it gets
A little bit harder to handle and yet"
And he lost the thread and his mind got cluttered
And the words just rolled off down in the gutter
yeah serves you right
sorry

I dunno, the headlines last Friday (just after the so-called Elections) kinda seemed like "no choice but to resort to cannibalism." Some Eat and some are Eaten, almost like the "Dog Eat Dog" of the Seventies which led to more of the completely unnecessary prolongation of foreign wars back then just after the onset of the New Space Age and invention of many things since the "horseless carriage," which fascinated us, and then the touted so-called AGE OF INFORMATION, which I'd been hearing about.. Tryin' to find that poem again but I forgot to mark the page. Casualty of the natural chaos of moving into a new place maybe. Man, too many boxes of shit. Need to make a dump run or two...

Didn't find it in this strange chaos of moving between "pads" as they used to call them, but I found the book's title poem (Elas) with just one flick of my arm if you can believe that, and so far I like it, 'cause it says things like: "I saw hunger replace a girl's eyes." War is twenty million movies and a dead-end, but that never really mattered to the warriors..

And then occasionally,
every once in awhile so far,
the earth, yes EARTH, remember her?
She gets tired of bickering, sends a jolt,
an earthquake to knock our shit around,
tremors in the crust to warn off greed.
She doesn't really want to eat us up,
but it might be coming to that.

"none so blind as those who will not see..."
drill baby drill
global warming's just a hoax
fake news
(see, it's snowing)
not to worry -
MAN will triumph over NATURE
We shall conquer the bitch
so say the usurers
behind the wheel
and their lickspittle lackeys
(talkin' to you, Faux News)
so LISTEN UP:
Mama will win in the end
and She won't need to lift a finger
not even to bring a fucking asteroid
down on our sorry heads
'cause we'll eat ourselves right out of existence
like the gypsy moth caterpillars
and when those amber waves of grain
are bleached-bone dunes of sand
we'll eat one another
pass the soylent green
so keep it up assholes
drill baby drill
let the smokestacks roll
'cause
Earth will be a much nicer place
without us
.

... And the human bloom boom might just Consume itself into oblivion..

Jack: found the poem; it's called "Hammer Time." What a great book by Dino. Those "Confessional Poems" are amazing. I need to add my takes on these works to Dino's book thread pretty soon...
